The fifth annual Baja Sur Reggae Festival will be held beachfront on Saturday, June 21,2008 at the Cerritos Beach Club km 65 off of Highway 19 in Pescadero.

Gates open at 5pm and the music will start at 8:00pm with DJ Xerpent and then continuing with the live music late into the night. Tickets will be available at the gate on the day of the festival for $20usd and advance purchase tickets will be $15usd. Advance purchase tickets will be $150 pesos and advance ticket locations in San Jose at Dairy Queen and Costa Azul Restaurant. In Cabo San Lucas at Dairy Queen, No Worry's Restaurant/Bar, the Love Shack and Cape International. In La Paz at Baja Paradise and Salsapuedes Restaurant. In Todos Santos at Café Brown, La Esquina, Cafelix and at the Cerritos Beach Club in Pescadero. Secure onsite parking ($2.00usd) and camping ($4usd per person) will be available.

Traditional and various ethnic food vendors and crafts will be on site and this year Tecate will provide the beer, selling Dos XX, Sol and Indio beers as well as the ever so popular Tecate red and Tecate Lite beers. For Vendor applications please visit the contact page of this website.

Please: NO glass bottles on the beach! NO coolers, beer or alcohol will be allowed in the concert area.

To help ensure a safe and fun-filled event, a private security company has been hired.

Keep in mind that evenings on the beach get chilly, so dress accordingly.

Come enjoy the First Annual Cerritos Beach Club Summer Solstice Music Festival held on Saturday and Sunday, June 21st and 22nd from 1pm - 8pm at the Cerritos Beach Club.

For the first time, the Baja Sur Reggae Festival is being held at the ever so popular Cerritos Beach Club in Pescadero, one of southern Baja's best surfing and camping destinations.

The Baja Sur Reggae Festival has become the biggest international cultural event in Baja Sur and this year's event will be headlined by International reggae star Ky-Mani Marley, son of the late great reggae ambassador Bob Marley. Ky-Mani Marley will perform in Mexico for the first time on the Summer Solstice, Saturday, June 21 at Los Cerritos Beach. Ky-Mani Marley is the second youngest of Bob Marley's 11 children and like his half-brothers Ziggy, Steven, Damian and Julian have all carved out their own place in the world of reggae music. Ky-Mani is the latest rising star of the Marley legacy. Ky-Mani has been on tour since late 2007 as the opening act for the Van Halen Reunion Tour and has rapidly gained popularity honing his own rocking reggae skills to a style reminiscent of his father Bob Marley.

Having moved to the US at a young age and raised in the inner-city of Miami, his exposure to the urban lifestyle is evident in his own mixture of , rock, reggae, rap, R&B and jazz has caught the attention of a wide audience. His new release "Radio" has won critical acclaim and the video and single 'So Hot' has received heavy rotation on MTV and MTV Latino . Ky-Mani who is know as much for his music as he is for his work as a film actor, starred in the 2002 film entitled One Love - is a contemporary Jamaican "Romeo and Juliet", as well as the feature film Haven with Bill Paxton and Orlando Bloom. He also starred in the 2006 film "Shottas" with reggae artist Spragg Benz- about two young men from Jamaica struggling to reach their dream through living life in the fast lane lane. In 2007 Ky-Mani was also the star of his own Reality Show on Black Entertainment Television( BET) called "Living the Life of Marley" in which the show follows him around in his daily routine. www.myspace.com/kymanimarley.
